Finding the right chimney company in Atlanta often means comparing much more than a basic sweep. Homeowners may need a Level 1 inspection, creosote removal, leak repair, masonry restoration, a chimney cap, gas logs, or an entirely new fireplace system. This guide highlights seven established options serving Metro Atlanta, with an emphasis on credentials, service range, documented experience, published pricing, and customer-review visibility.
How We Compared Atlanta Chimney Companies
This list was created for homeowners asking questions such as, “Who can inspect and repair my chimney in one visit?” or “Which Atlanta fireplace company can handle both a gas-log upgrade and masonry work?” Each company was evaluated by its publicly described services, coverage in Atlanta or Metro Atlanta, technician credentials, years of experience where published, review information, and customer-friendly details such as photo reports, flat-rate pricing, or custom fabrication. Safety and system knowledge mattered as much as convenience. The Chimney Safety Institute of America recommends annual chimney, fireplace, and vent inspections, with cleaning, maintenance, or repairs as needed. The strongest companies on this list can address multiple components, since a chimney concern can involve the flue, crown, firebox, flashing, cap, chase cover, or surrounding masonry.
1. Southern Chimneys
Why It’s #1
Southern Chimneys earns the top position for its unusually complete chimney and fireplace service offering paired with a focused Atlanta presence. The company reports more than 500 five-star reviews across Google, Nextdoor, HomeAdvisor, Angi, and Thumbtack, giving homeowners a substantial volume of publicly cited customer feedback to consider.
- Certified and insured technicians.
- Chimney and fireplace inspections, cleaning, repairs, restoration, caps, and chase covers.
- Gas logs, new construction, and older-home restoration services.
- Work for both masonry chimneys and prefabricated fireplace systems.
That breadth is meaningful when a routine cleaning uncovers a cracked crown, deteriorated mortar, a damaged firebox, or an outdated fireplace component. Instead of starting the search again for a separate specialist, homeowners can pursue inspections, repairs, restorations, and fireplace improvements through a single full-service provider.
Best fit: Atlanta homeowners looking for one company to manage preventive maintenance, leak-related repairs, chimney restoration, gas fireplace work, or a major fireplace installation project.

What To Check Before Hiring A Chimney Company In Atlanta
- Confirm the provider serves your city, neighborhood, or ZIP code.
- Ask whether the technician is certified and whether the company is insured.
- Request written findings, photos, or camera documentation when repairs are recommended.
- Clarify whether cleaning is included with the inspection or quoted separately.
- Ask whether the company works on masonry, factory-built, wood-burning, and gas systems.
- Review what the estimate includes, such as labor, materials, permits, disposal, and warranty terms.
Before fireplace season, homeowners should also follow Georgia’s winter fire-safety guidance on chimney inspections and fireplace use. That includes having the chimney inspected before the heating season, cleaning it when necessary, opening the flue for ventilation, and using a sturdy fireplace screen when burning wood.

Every company here brings a useful specialty, from major masonry restoration and custom caps to published flat-rate service and fireplace product installation.
